Covid Safety Precautions and Guidelines
- Maids and domestic helps
While it has been decided that maids and other domestic help would be allowed for now, random RT-PCR testing would be done for those who work in multiple flats. This is to create Covid safety awareness and not act as a deterrent.
Strict instructions will be given to security to ensure that the helps use only the service lifts.
- Delivery personnel
It has been decided that deliveries from online retailers would be stopped at the block security at ground floor in each block. An area will be segregated to hold these items till they are picked up by the residents.
This is being done to minimize the chances of uncontrolled asymptomatic but infected personnel onto the floors.
Residents are advised to place prepaid orders instead of CoD so that contact with the delivery personnel is minimized.
- Interior work
It has been decided to request all owners to suspend any interior works in their flats. A 3 day period is being allowed before this gets implemented from Friday 23rd April.
- Play areas and other facilities
Children are vulnerable to infection and we need to protect them. Hence all contact sport and play in the tot lot would remain suspended. Non contact activity like individual cycling and skating would be allowed, ideally under adult supervision.
The Gym and Swimming pool will also remain closed till further notice.
- Self declaration of infection by residents
Residents should be encouraged to self declare any covid positive cases so that society can implement a two pronged action. One in the form of proper sanitization and disinfection of the common areas, and secondly, to help the affected residents in their isolation period by way of arranging groceries, medicines or any other needs which would aid in a comfortable recovery.
Respecting the privacy of the residents, a resident volunteer SPOC has been appointed for each block who could be informed in case the affected resident does not want to openly disclose his infection.
- Oxygen cylinders
Portable oxygen cylinders with disposable oxygen flow masks would be arranged in the campus to aid in any emergent condition till medical help/ambulance arrives.
A request to residents to temporarily donate any oxygen cylinders they might have that are not being used.
- Masks and Face Shields
Masks would be provided to all security, HK, office & MEP staff. In addition, face shields would be provided to all security and MEP personnel.
All AET & contracted staff would be regularly checked for any symptoms in addition to regular temperature checks.
- Travel Advisory
Residents are requested to please minimize any outstation travel to the essential and unavoidable only.
Residents who have returned from areas that have a high incidence of cases are advised to undergo a one week voluntary home quarantine for the larger good of the society.
- Home Delivery of Medicines
Two nearby pharmacies would be empanelled to provide home delivery of medicines to the residents within 2 hours of order during day hours.
A list of common medicines to be used in case of covid positive cases would be shared with these pharmacies so that proper availability can be maintained.
- Medical Care and Support
Nursing care and doctor visit can be arranged on priority if the SPOC is notified.
Apollo Hospitals would provide priority ambulance services for AET residents on dialling their emergency care number 1066.
- Support to Senior Citizens
The Society would help the senior citizens in getting essentials and supplies delivered to their flats with the help of our supervisors. A request for the same can be placed through the SPOCs.
- Campus Patrolling
Security personnel and AET Supervisors would patrol the common areas at regular intervals to advise Covid appropriate behaviour to residents/staff in campus.
- Official Lockdown / Night Curfew
In view of the government order imposing the night curfew from 9.00 PM to 5.00 AM starting tonight untill 1st May our society main gate( gate 2) and exit gate ( West gate ) shall remain closed.
Ratnadeep , Lab and Edge saloon have been asked to close down by 8.30 PM until these guidelines are in vogue.
